decided that I should blog about HK before the little fragments disappear from my memory!사라지기 전에 //
super excited for this trip the entire hols because all I have been was busy, from SEAG to OMC and when the day finally came Chingz and I were just filled with so much excitement despite being super duper shag.
so we took a midnight flight and I dont even remember if we slept much but we didnt talk much so.... but we were still damn shag when we woke up. commuted to the city for our accommodation which was pretty meh-ish. I mean, it was really dirt cheap so I dont have much to complain about. but it was just a very crammed room with 2 beds, a mini fridge and a super small toilet like really really small. it was an airbnb btw, really liked how convenient things were for airbnb and well, the room was exactly like it was shown in the pictures and we didnt expect much for dirt cheap prices anyway! and not like we were gonna spend much time in the room so all was good :)
had so much shopping planned on the first day but we were honestly just too damn shag to move the moment we got into the room, so we crashed from 7+ to 9+am and headed out at 10+am instead! happiness is when you find gems near your accommodation! we found Dim Dim Sum Dim Sum Restaurant! (what a mouthful omg.) but yeah so being so late for breakfast, we settled for these!
headed for Sham Shui Po after brunch for shopping. searched up a fashion street so we decided to start off from there. and also, because we wanted to go for Tim Ho Wan (which we never did because too full and because too many places to try)
what a typical HK street looks like ^ yup, thats Sham Shui Po!
shopped till nearly evening before we went to the Avenue of Stars at Tsim Sha Tsui, enjoyed the sea breeze a little. seemed like the only cooling thing you can do, other than stick your butts in the mall the whole day because HK was honestly so bloody hot. and we took a sunset cruise for 80cents (unbelievable?!) to Sheung Wan. I kinda regret not taking the cruise more because it's so convenient and cheap but it's okay.
went for Ichiran Ramen which we queued 14329579374 years for. okay 45minutes. or at max an hour. but it's really past my usual queuing limit for food. but at least it's legit good. and not those over-rated kinda nonsense. just that yes maybe HK isnt the best place to have ramen. but it was good, period.
explored Hysan Place a little because we chanced upon it and made a mental note to go back when the sun gets too crazily unbearable. lotsa outlet shopping to look forward to! left the city area bout 10+pm because we were headed for Macau the next day!
