so after one day of procrastinating we finally headed for Macau!
went to the ferry terminal at Tsim Sha Tsui and discovered Kowloon Park enroute!
spent some time at the ferry terminal looking at beauty products cause there werent many other things to look at. and the Running Man fangirl comes back:
and then on the ferry, the super big legroom (that I didnt need)
arrived at Macau and took the free shuttle services to the Venetian!
after we had enough of photos, we took a public bus down to the Coloane area! sidenote I'm super proud of us for navigating around Macau for the whole day, taking buses everywhere just with the help of one map. thoroughly proved our Geographic abilities (;
so more about Coloane, it's basically a village that's away from the usual sights of Macau, the casinoes and pretty lighting on every single building. it takes on a rather sleepy, laid-back atmosphere as compared to the rest of Macau and there are beautiful architecture with the old churches and temple as well as a beach that's lined by stilt houses.
so in the midst of looking at all the old churches and temples, we found this backlane and started taking photos (:
many many more selfies which show how bad our skills are, so I'm not gonna be posting them here LOL.
went for food at Lord Stow's bakery. crazily expensive but well, theres no cheap food in Macau to begin with. Lord Stow's is very very very famous for their egg tarts, more than anything else. so much so that when we told the bus driver we were heading for Coloane, he immediately guessed it was for the egg tarts.
and it was time for the beach after lunch/tea?! our mealtimes were so screwed up we gave up saving it hahahaha. grew some appreciation for sights like these, thanks to Chingz. sometimes, old really is gold.
went for our last stop, the St. Paul's Ruins. walked along a trail with many historical monuments and this waterfall was one of them too!
our couple-like selfie at the St. Paul's Ruins. we decided that we really looked like any other couple trying to take a selfie with the selfie stick LOL.
and yup. this would be the pretty lights I was mentioning earlier.
went back really late, and broke (so broke I had to use card for our ferry tickets back). reached HK past 10pm, just when we were feeling so screwed that theres probably nothing much we could eat, we remembered One Dim Sum.
thankful for places like these that open till the wee hours and the trains that operate till the wee hours too. dont even know how Dim Sum in HK can be so freaking amazing but the ones back in Singapore are just meh-ish.
